Champion Grappler Divisions (Gi & No-Gi)
Kids: age 5-12 (45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 90, 100, 120, 120+)
BEGINNER: < 1 year of combined training*
ADVANCED: 1+ years of combined training*
Teens: age13-17 (100, 115, 130, 145, 165, 165+)
BEGINNER: < 1 year of combined training*
ADVANCED: 1+ years of combined training*
NOTE: Teen girls may compete in the teen division with the boys or in the women's division, not both.
Women: age18+ (115, 130, 145, 165, 165+)
BEGINNER: < 1 year of combined training*
ADVANCED: 1+ years of combined training*
Men: age 18+ (145, 160, 170, 185, 205, 205+)
ROOKIE**: First Time competitors ONLY w/under 20 hours training, NO wrestlers
BEGINNER: < 1 year of combined training*
INTERMEDIATE: 1-3 years of combined training*
ADVANCED: 3+ years of combined training* (brown belts may compete in advanced or expert, not both)
EXPERT***: Black & Brown belts or equivalent Only (Special Division NO-GI ONLY, see below) $1500 CASH PRIZES
Masters: age 36+ (145, 160, 170, 185, 205, 205+)
BEGINNER: < 2 years of combined training*
INTERMEDIATE: 2-5 years of combined training*
ADVANCED: 5+ years of combined training*
*Training includes all grappling arts (Jiu-Jitsu, Sambo, MMA, etc), each year of Judo or wrestling count as 6 months of training. Adult divisions count training time from age 16 and on. Beginner division is for White Belts ONLY regardless of training time.
**Rookie is a special division and does not count towards team scoring. Rookie is available w/online registration only, not at the door. Rookies must weigh-in the night before, any rookie not weighed in Friday night will be moved to Beginner.
***Expert is a special division for high level grapplers only. This will be a NO-GI division only with three weight classes (160, 185, Open). $500 Cash Prize will be awarded to the winner of each weight class.
NOTE: All divisions and weight classes may be changed, canceled, combined, etc in order to make the best competition possible.
Team Scoring
1st place: 5 points
2nd place: 3 points
3rd place: 2 points
In a 2 or 3-man division, last place will not score. Points are accumulated from all divisions except the special Rookie Division.
